Make My Week #10 – Sewn Picture

This year I want to create pictures for a story I have written.

So I started with this one, which is probably the easiest

I’m quite pleased with it

I hope I manage to do the other pages too. This one is just fabric, free motion stitching, a feather and buttons.

  1. So cool! Looks awesome. Will you photograph the sewing for your illustrations or will the entire book be made from fabric?

  7. You’re getting really good at the free motion – I love the retro feel of your singer and inspired use of feathers. I have a big collection of feathers and really no idea what I’m going to do with them. You have got me thinking…

  8. You are getting so good at the old free motion stitching! Love your work.

  9. Oh, this is something I have in my mind to play around with too. It really speaks to me. We have some children’s books illustrated this way (Stella Blackstone comes to mind) and every time I read them aloud I’m too busy with the illustrations! They just look like so much fun to do, too.
